Citizens Medical Center
Citizens Medical Center, a 312 bed, acute care hospital, provides Victoria and South Texas with the technology and medical sophistication of a big city and the personal care of a small town. Affiliated with the Methodist Health Care Network of Houston and owned by the County of Victoria, Citizens Medical Center is supported through endowments and donations by many of Victoria's citizens.
Citizens, known throughout the region as The Heart Hospital, has access to the best available research and clinical expertise in health care and has been a leader in cardiac care for 25 years. The Medical Center is also a leader in cancer therapy. The Kathryn O´Connor Regional Cancer Center has treatment technology comparable with major medical centers in large cities.
New expansion projects includes a Women's Pavilion for obstetrics, three more patient floors, four additional surgical suites and a four story medical office building. Other services include a major trauma center, critical care, 10 operating rooms, pediatrics, pain management, complete diagnostics, laboratory, respiratory therapy, day surgery, skilled nursing, inpatient psychiatric, 24-hour pharmacy and a 24-hour health information phone line staffed by registered nurses.

De Tar Hospital North
Regional Medical CenterVictoria Regional Medical Center, is owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services  This facility is owned and operated by Triad Hospitals, it is a 156 bed acute care hospital providing the latest advances in medical technology in an environment that is relaxing as well as functional. Specializing in neuroscience services, De Tar Hospital North also offers Regional Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology in an outpatient setting. De Tar Hospital North is also committed to playing an active and vital role in the everyday lives of the Victoria community. While they are a resource during emergencies and illness, they also provide important programs for healthy, busy people. Recent renovations added more labor, delivery, postpartum rooms, 1997 renovations included a new Day Surgery Center, more pediatric beds and a larger psychiatric unit. Recently, a $4 million, multi-story medical office building was completed on the De Tar Hospital North campus. Construction continues on several medical projects designed to increase the healthcare options to residents of the community. Since opening in April 1984, De Tar Hospital North has augmented superior medical care with programs to promote wellness and provide information to the public.

DeTar Hospital
Detar Hospital
DeTar Hospital, "The Healing Force" in Victoria for over 65 years is owned by Columbia Health Care and provides 273 beds, comprehensive outpatient diagnostic services and 24-hour emergency care to Victoria and six surrounding counties. Over 150 physicians, in virtually every specialty, provide medical and surgical services.
In addition to the largest obstetrical service in the city, hospital-based skilled nursing facilities and inpatient rehabilitation, DeTar's specialty centers include women's services, pediatrics, general and laser surgery, Home Health and DeTar Health Center.
Recent expansion and construction projects have added a new Emergency Department, magnetic resonance imaging, expanded surgery facility and a new Day Surgery Center. DeTar's Medical Plazas East Tower opened in early 1994 adding three levels of enclosed parking, three floors for physician offices and an overhead walkway for climate controlled access to the hospital. 1994 also saw the completion of a cardiac catherterization lab and a new unit for geriatric psychiatric patients.
